Kimball Model F Spinet

This model, built in the 1980’s differs from others featured on the Pianolacare website. While it is still largely powered by a suction motor the spool drive and rewind are driven by a small 12v electric motor shown in these pictures. As can be seen, the plastic gears in the transmission disintegrate after years of use and need replacing. I can source these replacement gears, now made of brass, and get your Kimball player running again with a fairly straightforward repair. Let me know if I can be of help with this.

Reassembled with set screws and nuts after drilling out the original rivets.

Motor refitted and working correctly. This picture above also shows the tracking mechanism and part of the mandolin rail actuator.
