This model, built in the 1980’s differs from others featured on the Pianolacare website. While it is still largely powered by a suction motor the spool drive and rewind are driven by a small 12v electric motor shown in these pictures. As can be seen, the plastic gears in the transmission disintegrate after years of use and need replacing. I can source these replacement gears, now made of brass, and get your Kimball player running again with a fairly straightforward repair. Let me know if I can be of help with this.
